Established in 2004, Mindful Employer is a UK-wide initiative run by Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Providing employers with easier access to professional workplace mental health training, information and support, the initiative aims to help empower employers to take a lead in supporting the mental wellbeing of their staff. By signing the ‘Charter for Employer Positive About Mental Health’, Kent-Athlone Pharma Group has made a public statement of its desire to support the mental health of its staff across the organisation.

By signing the Charter, Kent-Athlone Pharma Group is committed to upholding key principles, including providing non-judgemental and proactive support for employees experiencing mental ill-health, promoting fair and inclusive recruitment practices, and equipping line managers with the tools and knowledge to effectively support mental health in the workplace. The initiative also reinforces the company’s stance on eliminating stigma and encouraging open, supportive dialogue around mental wellbeing.

LONDON/DUBLIN – Kent-Athlone Pharma Group, a European specialty pharmaceutical company, today announced the signing and closing of an agreement for the divestment of the entire issued share capital of Athlone Laboratories Limited, an Irish manufacturer of oral antibiotic finished dosage forms (FDFs), from Linnum Holdings (a group company within Kent-Athlone Pharma Group) to Gaelic Laboratories.

Athlone Laboratories currently manufactures semi-synthetic penicillins (SSPs) with expertise in critical oral antibiotic formulations, including amoxicillin capsules and powders for oral suspension (POS), flucloxacillin capsules and POS, and penicillin tablets. The Athlone Laboratories site currently serves customers in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany), and other international markets. 

Kent-Athlone Pharma Group will continue to market the products manufactured and supplied by Athlone Laboratories (now part of Gaelic Laboratories) primarily in the UK and Ireland. For clarity Athlone Pharmaceuticals, a separate legal entity, is not impacted and remains part of Kent-Athlone Pharma Group.

Olga brings over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceuticals industry, following an early career in insurance and banking in the City of London. A qualified accountant, she has held senior finance roles across both publicly listed and private equity-backed pharmaceutical companies, where she has supported R&D programs, product launches, international expansion, and strategic portfolio acquisitions.

A true international finance leader, Olga has successfully led multiple cross-border transactions across Europe and the MENA region and played a key role in establishing commercial operations throughout Northern Europe. In 2021, she co-led the carve-out of a European business to found CNX Therapeutics, where she most recently served as CFO. During her tenure, she oversaw a successful debt refinancing and led several major asset and corporate acquisitions.

Olga’s strategic insight and financial leadership will play a key role in driving Kent-Athlone Pharma Group’s continued growth and innovation.

Following the substantial organic growth in the UK and Republic of Ireland in recent years, Kent-Athlone Pharma Group will join Medicines for Europe. This follows the announcement in February 2025 that Athlone Pharma (the commercial affiliate of Kent-Athlone Pharma Group in the Republic of Ireland) has joined Medicines for Ireland.
