Kent-Athlone Pharma Group and DHL Supply Chain

The Kent-Athlone Pharma Group, a rapidly growing specialty European pharmaceuticals company, has demonstrated its commitment to operational excellence by extending its partnership with DHL Supply Chain as its primary third-party logistics (3PL) provider for the next five years.

This collaboration aims to leverage automation and optimisation strategies to enhance the availability of essential medicines. Operating from offices/sites in the UK and Ireland, the Kent-Athlone Pharma Group manufacturers and/or distributes an extensive range of 300 stock-keeping units (SKUs) for the UK, Ireland, continental Europe and beyond.

The renewal of this strategic partnership, initiated in 2016, signifies a transition of Kent-Athlone Pharma Group's operations to DHL’s pharmaceutical-grade site in Didcot. Equipped with multi-temperature storage capabilities, alongside significant investments in technologies such as DHL's systems, will provide enhanced accuracy and quality benefits to ultimately deliver immense value to Kent-Athlone Pharma Group's customer base, and help support their growth aspirations.

These recent advancements supplement the company's recent shift to RELEX technology. The implementation of RELEX enables Kent-Athlone Pharma Group to augment its operational strategies through automation and leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to improve forecasting accuracy.
